Ghost Loop: The Free Game Where Your Only Enemy Is You

Ghost Loop is a free online arcade game played in 8-second rounds. In each round you have to grab a gem before time runs out. When the round ends, your movement turns into a ghost that repeats the exact same path in every later round. What Is Ghost Loop?

Most dodge games hand you a list of enemies. In Ghost Loop the only enemy is your own past.

Each round is a short 8-second sprint: a pink gem appears, you fly your little spirit to it, and the clock runs out. Then the tape rewinds. Everything you just did, every curve, every pause and every panicked zig-zag, comes back as a translucent ghost and plays out again in every round after that.

That creates the hook in one sentence: the better you play, the harder the game gets. Survive 10 rounds and there are 9 versions of you on screen. Survive 37 and you get the kind of clip people can't stop watching: "Round 37: dodging 36 versions of myself."

How to Play Ghost Loop

1. Grab the gem. A pink gem appears somewhere in the arena. Reach it before the 8-second timer runs out. The timer shows as a bar at the top of the screen and as a ring around your spirit.
2. Leave an echo. When the round ends, the arena rewinds like a VHS tape and your 8 seconds of movement become a new ghost.
3. Dodge yourself. Every ghost replays its path from the start of each new round. Dotted trails show where each one is about to go.
4. Keep the loop alive. If you touch a ghost or miss the gem, the run ends. A slow-motion replay then shows exactly which version of you caught you, for example "caught by your round 7 self."

• Phones and tablets: drag anywhere to use a floating joystick. On phones the arena sits at the top of the screen, so your thumb never covers the action.

Scoring: Speed, Shards, Grazes and the Ghost Multiplier

The multiplier is what turns Ghost Loop into a risk-and-reward game. In round 1 a graze is worth 40 points. With 20 ghosts on screen (round 21) the multiplier is x3.0, so the same graze is worth 120 points. A crowded arena is more dangerous, but it also pays far more.

Why Ghost Loop Is So Addictive

• You design your own difficulty. Every path you draw becomes a future obstacle. Wild loops in round 3 come back to haunt you in round 15, and good players learn to move in clean, short lines.
• Every death tells a story. The instant replay shows which version of you ended the run. It is hard not to want revenge on your round 7 self.
• "One more round" pacing. Rounds last 8 seconds, restarting is instant, and the rewind between rounds is short.
• Near misses feel great. Each graze adds a tiny slow-motion beat, a whoosh and a score pop, so skimming past your ghosts becomes the most fun part of the game.
• Unlockable spirit skins. There are six skins: Spirit (default), Ember (reach round 10), Toxic (graze 30 ghosts in one run), Phantom (reach round 20), Gold Rush (score 25,000) and Prism (reach round 30). Nine achievements track your progress.
• A leaderboard you can trust. The server replays your entire run from your recorded path before accepting a score, so every name on the board earned its place.

The Daily Challenge

The Daily Challenge gives every player in the world the same seed for the day, so gems and shards appear from the same sequence for everyone. It resets at 00:00 UTC and has its own leaderboard. Everyone starts from the same setup, so the Daily ranking shows who handles their own ghosts best.

7 Tips to Survive More Rounds

1. Park after the gem. Once you have the gem, stop somewhere quiet. A ghost that stands still for the rest of the round is the easiest obstacle in the game.
2. Draw straight lines. Short, direct paths leave simple ghosts. Circles and zig-zags leave ghosts that cover half the arena.
3. Read the dotted trails. They show the next half-second of every ghost's movement, which is enough to dodge nearly anything.
4. Use the spawn grace. Ghosts need half a second to materialize at the start of each round and cannot hurt you until they do.
5. Go fast early, go safe late. The speed bonus is worth up to 100 points before the multiplier, so rush the first rounds. Later on, survival matters more.
6. Graze on purpose once the multiplier is high. At x3.0 or more, a single graze is worth more than a shard.
7. Watch your replays. The full-round replay on the game-over screen shows the traffic patterns you created, which helps you avoid building the same trap twice.

All points are multiplied by 1 + 0.1 per ghost on screen, up to x5.0.

A Graze happens when you slip past one of your ghosts very closely without touching it. Each ghost can be grazed once per round for 40 points before the multiplier, so brave players score far more than careful ones.
