There's a certain kind of game that shouldn't work as well as it does. You're driving down an endless highway. Cars are coming at you from every lane. All you have to do is not hit them. That's it. That's the whole pitch.

And yet Road Dodge — the newest arcade game on Game CMB — is one of those deceptively simple ideas that turns into a genuine "just one more run" habit the moment you actually play it. No download, no install, no sign-up. Open the page, hit Play, and you're behind the wheel in three seconds flat.
Road Dodge puts you on a three-lane highway that never stops. Traffic streams toward you — taxis, trucks, police cars, the occasional ultra-rare speedster — and your only job is to weave through the gaps. Steer with the arrow keys, A/D, or a swipe on mobile. The lane change isn't an instant teleport either; your car actually glides between lanes, which makes every dodge feel physical instead of robotic.
Here's the twist that turns "just survive" into something you can actually get good at: near misses pay more than distance does. Skim past a car by a wide margin and you get a small bonus. Skim past it by inches — genuinely inches — and the game screams "INSANE!" at you and hands out a much bigger reward. Chain several close calls back to back and your combo multiplier climbs, turning a reckless streak into serious points. The braver you drive, the faster your score grows. It's a scoring system built entirely around the tension between playing it safe and playing it stupid.
Scattered across the highway are two very different kinds of pickups. Gold coins are common and stack up quickly — grab enough and you can walk into the Garage to buy new car skins (six of them, from a starter runabout all the way up to a translucent neon phantom with its own sparkle trail), unlock new highways to drive on, or buy permanent upgrades like a wider coin-magnet radius.
Gift boxes are rarer, and cracking one open hands you one of ten random skills: a shield that makes you briefly invincible, a turbo boost that stacks speed with a score multiplier, a Ram skill that lets you smash straight through traffic for bonus points instead of dodging it, a Ghost mode that phases through cars entirely, a Magnet that auto-collects nearby coins, a Coin Shower that rains gold onto the road, and a couple of surprises we'll let you discover yourself. Every run plays a little differently depending on what you pull.
Instead of one static backdrop, Road Dodge rotates between eight distinct environments mid-run — sunset highway, neon night city, a rain-slicked tunnel, a desert dusk drive past cactus silhouettes, a snowy mountain pass with ambient snowfall, a coastal sunrise route — and it changes at random, so you genuinely don't know what's coming next. Street lamps line both sides of every road, glowing signage and skyline silhouettes scroll past in the background, and when you finally do crash, the game doesn't just cut to a scoreboard — your car spins out, the screen slows down and darkens at the edges for a beat, and only then does the results screen appear. It's a small thing, but it makes losing feel like an actual moment instead of an abrupt stop.
Every run gets submitted to a global leaderboard, split between all-time rankings and a daily reset, so there's always a fresh reason to open the tab again tomorrow. Your best score, your gold, and everything you've unlocked in the Garage are saved right in your browser — no account required.
Road Dodge was built around one idea: a browser game should never make you wait to have fun. There's no tutorial to sit through, no menu maze, no loading screen. You load the page, you're in the car, and within your first ten seconds you already understand exactly what's at stake. Everything after that — the skills, the garage, the maps, the leaderboard — exists to give that ten-second loop somewhere to grow.
