How to Play Dash Through
- Press Space, click, or tap to dash. That is the only control.
- Watch the obstacle ahead. Lasers blink, walls open and close, blades spin: wait for the gap, then dash.
- A dash covers a short distance very fast, then needs a split second to recharge (watch the ring around your shard).
- Purple energy walls can only be passed while dashing, so keep your dash ready for them.
- Pass extremely close to danger for NEAR MISS (+50) or PERFECT (+100, with slow motion).
- Crash once and the run ends. Save your score with a nickname and hit Play Again.
Obstacles You Will Face
- Laser Gates: full-width beams that flicker before they fire.
- Closing Walls: two panels that slam shut and slide open.
- Moving Gates: a wall with one sliding opening.
- Crusher Blocks: heavy blocks sweeping across the lane.
- Twin Blades: mirrored spinning bars (from 30 seconds).
- Spike Tunnels: long corridors with spikes that snap shut.

Scoring, Near Misses and Combos
You earn 1 point per metre travelled and 100 points for every obstacle cleared. A near miss adds 50, a perfect pass adds 100, and phasing through an energy wall adds 50. Clear obstacles back to back to raise your combo: at 5, 10, 20 and 35 in a row your multiplier grows to x1.2, x1.5, x2 and x3. A dash that hits nothing (a wasted dash) cuts your combo in half, so dash with purpose.
Difficulty and Speed
The first ten seconds are a warm-up with slow lasers and walls. Moving gates and crusher blocks join at 10 seconds, blades and spike tunnels at 30, electric bars and double patterns at 60, and after two minutes you are in Extreme territory at up to x2.2 speed. Every obstacle pattern is generated from a seed and automatically checked by the game's own solver, so there is always a safe dash window. If you crash, it was the timing, not the game.
Leaderboard and Fair Play
Dash Through has Today, This Week and All-Time leaderboards. Each run gets a one-time server session, and the server checks your time, distance, combo and score against what is physically possible before it is ranked. Nicknames are 3 to 16 characters and filtered for offensive words. No email, password or account is required.
Tips to Beat Your High Score
- Do not dash the moment an obstacle appears. Glide closer, read its rhythm, then commit.
- Save your dash for energy walls. If your ring is still charging, you cannot phase through.
- Near misses come from dashing as a gap opens or just before it closes.
- Protect your combo: a single wasted dash halves it.
