Clash of Armies is a free browser-based auto-battle strategy game on GameCMB. Recruit soldiers, train heroes, research new technology, and grow your army across 7 historical eras — from primitive clubs and stone slings to laser rifles and combat robots. No download, no account, no install: just open the page and play, on desktop or mobile.
How to Play
- Recruit units and assign up to 3 heroes to your army from the Army Setup screen, within your Army Capacity.
- Press Start Battle — your Blue army and the enemy's Red army automatically charge and fight. You don't control individual soldiers; just watch the battle unfold.
- Win to earn Gold, Score, and Hero XP, then spend Gold on Weapons, Armor, Training, Technology, Army Capacity and Hero Training upgrades.
- Each stage's enemy army is stronger than the last — upgrade steadily to keep winning as you climb toward Stage 50.
Units, Roles and Heroes
Every unit fills one of five battlefield roles: high-HP Melee frontline fighters, long-range Ranged attackers, extremely tanky Tank units, multi-target AOE siege units, and fast-moving Fast units. Heroes are far stronger than regular soldiers and each has a unique automatic ability — from the Berserker's devastating Rage Strike to the Commander's army-wide Battle Cry, the Destroyer's Ground Smash, the Sniper's Deadly Shot, the Engineer's Repair Protocol, and the late-game Titan's massive Titan Blast.
Technology Eras
Clash of Armies is built around a full era progression system: Primitive Age, Ancient Age, Medieval Age, Industrial Age, Modern Age, Future Age, and the Robotic Age. Each era unlocks new units, new heroes and a new battlefield look, so your army's appearance and power evolve visibly as you climb the 50 stages.
Battle Speed and Difficulty
Early battles run at 1x speed while you learn the ropes; 2x and 3x battle speed unlock as you progress, letting experienced players push through stages faster. Enemy armies scale up smoothly stage by stage — never impossible, but never trivial — so upgrading your army between battles always matters.
Leaderboard
Set a nickname and your best Score and Stage are submitted to the GameCMB global leaderboard, validated on our server so displayed scores are always legitimate. Come back daily for a login reward, and chase achievements like First Blood, War Machine, General, Commander and Legend.
